Read Our Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can climb at the same time?
There are four climbing surfaces, each offering a different degree of difficulty: easy, medium, hard, and expert. Only one person can climb a surface at a time. The wall is designed to have a safe climb up and a smooth and safe descent without a secondary person belaying you. We use an auto-belay system. Auto is short for automatic and belay mean to secure a person at the end of a rope. There are pulleys and cables, hydraulic cylinders, and air pressure that all work together to ensure safe and continual operation. The Auto-Belay has been tested and certified by TUV SUD America US. This safety mark is recognized worldwide and is only given to products and facilities that pass strict testing requirements.
Is rock climbing good exercise?
YES! It's great for cardiovascular and strength training. There's also a mental challenge to climbing: decision making, planning, and strategizing. Climbing demands focused attention and mindfulness.
What type of area is required?
The rock wall is mobile. It lies down on a trailer and is towed by a pick-up truck. The area must be flat and large enough for the truck to pull through and past the location of the wall. Estimate 16 x 28 feet with a 10-foot safety area in front of the wall and along the sides. The area must be clear of overhead wires and branches.
How long does it take to set up?
15-20 minutes.
What is the weather policy?
For safety reasons, the rock wall cannot be set up in high winds or lightning storms.
